The quality choice
Academy Travel believes in providing a quality and personalised experience from start to finish. The tour product manager works one-on-one with the organising teacher and the travel consultant provides assistance to travelling students and their family members. Participants on the tour will stay in quality hotels in central locations, tour with expert local guides, enjoy amazing cultural experiences, travel by private coach/local airlines and create memories to last a lifetime. The whole experience will be managed by one of our experienced tour managers which allows the smooth operation of the tour while accompanying teachers can focus on the pastoral care of the students.

Our key differences

Our links with academics and knowledge of syllabus requirements allows us to create a true learning experience.
We work with a team of expert local guides and historians that provide onsite guiding and background lectures in various areas of study. Many staff on the Academy Travel team have a background in education.

Package
We provide an all inclusive package, making it easier for families to budget.
Our pricing includes return international airfares, all breakfasts and dinners, all entries to sites, guides at major sites and all land transportation. The only real expense once on the ground is lunch each day.

Customised
All tour itineraries are fully customised to your teaching program.
While we offer suggested itineraries based on the syllabus dot points, we work with each school to develop a tailor-made program. We can use our experience to provide a practical itinerary that maximises the time on the ground while not being too exhausting for participants.

Tour Manager
We provide each group with an experienced tour manager to manage all logistics whilst on tour.
The tour manager will meet the group on arrival and remain until the group’s departure. The tour manager is responsible for the smooth operation of the tour, encompassing everything from hotel check-ins, liaising with drivers and local guides, managing included meals, moving the group around, orientation walks in each city, buying public transport tickets, facilitating visits to doctors/hospitals and much more. Having a tour manager allows teachers a more relaxed experience, as well as providing families with the peace of mind that teachers can concentrate on the pastoral care of students.

Documentation
Academy Travel can provide any risk management documentation required by your school and/or approving authority.
As minimum, we will provide a risk management plan, details of hotels, detailed breakdown of costs and detailed daily itinerary. We will also complete your DFAT registration on behalf of the group.

Support
We provide personalised support every step of the way.
From initial meetings and discussions to develop a price and itinerary that suits your school to assisting the group with check in at the airport at departure, we are here to help. A representative from Academy Travel will provide an information session at your school, along with customised itinerary flyers and booking forms. We will also conduct a pre-departure meeting for families to distribute travel documentation, practical travel advice and answer any questions.
