Academy Travel’s International Music Academy is a unique opportunity for Australian music students aged 14 to 19 to study internationally at two leading music education institutions in Europe – Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary, and Giuseppe Verdi Conservatorium in Turin, Italy. Students will engage in individual and group tuition and gain valuable international performing experience.
Travel to Budapest, Vienna and Northern Italy where students will develop their performing, aural, composition and musicology skills. The all-inclusive 14-day program includes return flights to Europe from Australian capital cities, all tuition, all accommodation, many meals, all land transport, tipping and the supervision of one of Australia’s leading music educators. Students may travel independently, or with accompanying parents and teachers.
Tour leader – Royna McNamara
Royna is a graduate of the Conservatorium of Music where she was awarded the prize for the most outstanding final year student. In 1991, she completed a Degree at Sydney University and during the final year of this degree was awarded a scholarship to complete study in the area of Music Performance Practices. For many years Royna was Music Director at Sydney’s Abbotsleigh School and her expertise has been utilised as an HSC examiner, guest lecturer, mentor and member of syllabus and examination committees.
